The one marked "Cab Calloway & His Orchestra / Cozy Cole - Ratamacue [3:04] - History of Jazz Drumming, Vol. 3" sounds like "A Smooth One" to me. Is "Ratamacue" an alternate title or is the song mismarked?

I bought an iMic last week and configured the Winamp/iTunes setup that Shana mentioned. I tried DJ'ing with it on my new WinXP laptop and had two problems: 1) When I plug in the iMic, the volume defaults to medium. To turn the volume all the way up, I have to change my default sound card to the iMic...

by the way, here's the rundown of that 40 cd big band set: (stuff deleted) This may already be known, but what the hey. I was ripping the CDs from the box set and found that several of the CDs have the same track listing as Chronogical Classics sets. For example, the 2nd Basie CD has the same listi...

That is easy. If you copy data from your iTunes library (highlight the rows you want, right-mouse click and select "copy"), all visible fields will be copied. Just make sure the fields that you specifically want to copy are visible. That data can then be easily pasted into Excel. Sweet. T...

I've already got a couple of utilities to calculate BPM. I don't have any that automatically update the ID3 tags. It's kind of annoying that I can't click on the BPM field to edit it the way I can for song title, artist, etc. The main thing I need is a way to get iTunes to export BPM into its tab-de...

The iTunes-BPM Inspector mentioned on the last page is only for Macs. Is there a version or another plugin with that functionality for Windows?

Also, does anyone know if there's a way to configure iTunes to include BPM in its export or if there's an export plugin that includes BPM?

Re: Dance songs with classical music in them

Also, there's that Nina Simone tune that has a big section with classical piano, but I can never remember what it is. I think you're talking about "Love Me Or Leave Me". How about Django Reinhart's "Interprétation Swing du Premier Mouvement du Conceto en Ré Mineur" and "Imp...

I played a couple of faster tunes because I figured it wouldn't be a bad thing if it cleared that crowded floor a bit.

As for the DJ'ing the rest of the weekend, I'm going to keep my mouth shut, except to say that the accordion version of April In Paris on Sunday night just about killed me.

I coulda sworn I was listening to James Moody a bit ago, but I haven't heard anything but hip-hop in about five songs. Maybe I accidentally switched to a different Live365 station.
