You mean Speaker stands right? I don't think that many tripods can handle a 15-20 lb (minimum) speakers that would cost you less than speaker stands.

The clasps on the used system fail quite easily but that could be rectified by using two adjustable straps to hold the speakers to the case. Do you mean the clasps that hold the speakers to case? or the clasps on the speaker stands? The speaker stands are a little flemsy. With the system I have use...

Well, most music centers/distributor's should carry the Peavey escort system. I have never heard of the Phony System before, much less tired it out. However, just from the specs, it has a capacity of 100W, whereas the Fender/Peavey system carry 150 W (75W per channel). Another thing you need to cons...

I enjoyed listening to DJ's this past summer at Herrang. But I wouldn't attribute much of their variety just do their internationality (many of them were US Dj's). One of the things I enjoyed is hearing versions from artists that were not from the US. There are a lot of fine and talented musicians i...

I never had very good experiences with the Fender System. THe knobs are made very cheaply and it looks too much like a toy. For the same price I would recommend the Peavey Escort System . It comes with a nice 5 channel mixing board, speakers, stands, microphone and all the cords. Everything packs up...

When that happens I like to put a very fast song out there....240-270bpm. Yes, most of the floor clears except for a few daring people and the Bal Junkies.

After hearing a good fast song 180bpm's sounds like a breeze and the floor fills back up again.

But that's just my experience.

from my experience, you need to contrast price with cost. You can buy a decent pair od Dual Deck CD Players for $300 that can last you approx 3 years. The price would be $200-300, and the cost would be $100/year You can spend a little more and go for a little more reliable deck for $500 that will la...

Nima: Maybe I missed something but I couldn't find a mixer (for live bands) in your list . Thoughts about a mixer? I investigating if our club should get a mixer. If we get one I think it most likely will be a powered mixer (less stuff to carry since we don't have our own place yet). I'm very tempt...

Mine was pre-formatted NTFS (Western Digital 80GB). But is not one of those USB powered ones.
