When ripping songs off an audio CD into MP3 format, what happens when you convert them back onto an audion CD. Do you loose quality from the original?

Thanks for the props everyone. I know Matt, Megan and I (as well as everyone else) really enjoyed having everyone here. Nando... I've had WWOZ on for 5 years straight now. I couldn't name one top 10 pop song right now. lol Dr. Michael White is amazing... He's on the very short list for next year. :)

Our scene is pretty small, but we make up for it with music that is second to none, (sorry Dave). Lindy Hoppers...

Anyone know why there isn't a true Jazz Hall of Fame in N.O..... or elsewhere for that matter? There are plenty of jazz museums and preservation organizations, but no 'hall of fame'. Not sure why, however when I think of the Rock n Roll hall of fame, I invision a large scale Planet Hollywood kinda ...

I was under the impression that Ellington had a swingin' arrangement of the entire Nutcracker Suite as well as some other additions.

Great for Xmas dances.

With Lindy Gras...

We obvioulsy focus on local live music as much as our budget will allow, and in regards to DJs, we like variety.

Traditionally we have one dance named "the new orleans music show", that is only DJd by locals, playing only New Orleans music.

Anyone else pick up her "The Definitive Colleciton"?

It's got a handful of 'fun' songs... If you like fringe-swing. :)
