I have a 1982 Sammy Price ,Melbourne recording with 3 local Artists.
It's a mid tempo with vocals. I really like it. It really doesn't sound anything like the 1920's recording of the title.

Ignoring the above comment. “E-Flat Boogie and Coleslaw” Both of these songs are both rhythm and blues songs, with very strong back beats. This is one area, I’m not very good on, but I could suggest: Blip Blop - Bill Doggett Be Careful - Buddy Johnson One Scotch One Bourbon One Beer - Amos Milburn J...

I've got a version of Jive at five by Basie's orchestra that is very up tempo (200 BPM), and doesn't fade out at the end. The Album has very little liner notes, so I have no idea of the exact recording details. My guess is it is a mid 50's recording. Song length - 2:50 Studio Recording Album details...

Tom Baker was such a great musician. He passed away a few years ago totally unexpected while on tour in Sweden. He was only in his mid 40's. Nope, I'm not in Herrang this year. I’m a bit over the Herrang thing these days. Australian Jazz is the biggest secrete in the world Jazz scene, and most of th...

Sorry I'm comming in on this conversation very late. As a sound engineer, one of the things I find is that most DJ's know very little about PA systems and mixers. There is a lot of stuff that can be covered in this area, but some basic info on cables and equipment would be well worth while. Brian :-)

How heavy is that going to be, when you have it full of gear? I have a console rack that just has a dual player and DJ mixer in it, and its heavy. You could always just buy the gear you want and make a rack for it yourself. It will be a lot cheaper and you will know for definite everything will fit ...
