That's good to hear (and very un-Microsoft like). Perhaps it will actually be released this year like the press is predicting. Microsoft has really impressed me lately with they way they build software. It seems like they are finally listening smart people instead of junior code hackers and markete...
Windows 7
Just a geeky note to say that I installed Windows 7 beta and BPM Studio on my laptop.... so far so good. Gonna DJ with it on Monday probably. Pretty speedy, and much more polished than betas of Vista were.

John, the popularity of iPods has to say something about them, they are immensely popular. I used to have an iPod that I used primarily for audiobooks. I didn't want to have to burn a CD everytime I wanted to listen to a downloadable (Audible(tm)) book. So I found a way to hook my iPod up to my car ...

The term was being used well before Leigh starting spreading it further, but I forget exactly whom first used it. Something deep in my memory says it was first spoken (as a dance term) at one of the Vegas Exchanges, but that doesn't help history much since everyone there was surely drunk out of the...

I was reminiscing with Peter Loggins the other night about being at Memories in 2000 and hearing you yell out of the DJ booth about spinning some really cool Artie Shaw. Although I must have heard Artie Shaw before, that's the first time I connected his name with the music. Artie still is not overp...

Still not able to track this down on Vinyl, despite many attempts by myself and some others. I did, however, talk to the programming director at XM (a very accommodating man -- I love XM), who has agreed to play the song again on Friday around 10am EST. Now that I've hyped it up, I wonder if it will...

Hudson-Delange orchestra - Definition of Swing
My wife listens to the 40's channel on XM all the time. Though it's primarily 40's pop, which makes ok background music, it isn't generally my cup of tea. However, occasionally they play some great songs. This morning a song was playing and I quickly ran over to check the display on the XM because i...

More likely that the version you heard shouldn't have been played twice. There are some seriously good versions of that song i'd never mind hearing more than once.tornredcarpet wrote:After being subjected to it twice in a major dance weekend, i believe playing I's A Muggin' once is playing it once too many.

The #1 recommendation is an external sound card. The internal sound cards on laptops suck. For $50 you can get a sound card that will be vastly better than anything that is built into the laptop - especially a sub $500 laptop. --Stan Graves Agreed on the importance of the external sound card. BTW, ...
