Hey all,

Im just new on here but wanting to start djing, i have a Apple Mac Powerbook G4 1.5 ghz with 1.5 gig of ram and a very big amount of music (mp3)

could anybody give me any tips on equipment i could buy, so i can start doing small parties, working my way up to big parties, in time

I don't have any advice, but I would like to hear whether Mac laptops generally have good onboard audio for DJing purposes? I've seen a number of PC laptops with audio output that's good enough for casual use, but doesn't have the fidelity for DJing. My impression from casual conversations is that Apple audio hardware tends to be better in general, but that's coming from people who might not have the ear to tell the difference.

I use a G4 iBook with a USB Turtle Beach sound card. Preview in iTunes, dj with DJ1800. No problems.
