Hey all,

It's been a while since I've posted anything, but I was wondering if any of you could help me ID a song.
It's one of the Open Strictly Bal videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kawU9m1 ... Ud&index=4

Thanks in advance! :D

Cab Calloway - A Minor Breakdown [1937]. But is it take 1 or 2? :D

Brilliant! Thank you, anton.
Although I can't find any "Take 2" of A Minor Breakdown. Are you referring to a specific album?

There are two takes, and they're very, very similar (I assume Anton was mostly teasing). Both are on the OOP Mosaic set "Classic Chu Berry Columbia and Victor Sessions".

They're dancing to take 1 (you can tell by the trumpet solo, at 1:34 in the video--take 2's introduction to that solo is slightly different). You can find it on the Mosaic, or on the Chronological Cab Calloway, Volume 2 on JSP. (Or probably on loads of other compilations--those are the two I have it on.) Note that the DJ faded it out--the actual take is a little longer.

Anyway, great track.
