Sounds quite a bit like the Bechet-Spanier Big Four 1940 version, especially the intro. That's an instrumental, though. Will big bands ever come back?
Ya - that guy does really good work and he never tells how he does it. He works with English issues of American Jazz recordings. Even sides with quiet passages do not defeat him.
