I saw the video 'Alright' by Janet Jacson. Actually, I could see Cab Calloway by chance. So I checked every kind of information about Cab Calloway. But the most information couldn't tell me why Cab Calloway was shown up in that video. Anybody can reply for these reasons?

Cyd Charisse and the Nicholas Brothers are in it, too.
I don't think there is anything special about Cab--the video is just styled like a musical from the 30's or 40's. Wikipedia agrees.

Cab Calloway had a revival of popularity in the early 80s due to his appearance in The Blues Brothers film. He's a good choice as a legend of 1930s entertainment.
