Anyone ever DJ'd this or heard it played? Just looking at a few late 30s BG tunes and realising I don't think I've ever heard this played. I think it was named after Camel cigarettes who sponsored one of Benny Goodman's radio series.

The last time I played it was during my July 6th set in the Herräng library 2009 (I think you were there, but maybe not in the room), so it obviously doesn't come out of my box that often, but now that I listen to it I realise I could use it more. I'll probably play it at the Sweden Balboa Weekend in Uppsala this coming mid September. It seems to be a Mary Lou Williams piece, arranged by Jimmy Mundy (it's on my Hep disc "BG plays JM"). Thanks for the heads up, Haydn!

I think I've played it maybe once or twice. Not something I'd play frequently.

Why wouldn't you play it much Dave?

It's a solid piece of swing, with a nice solo by James in the middle. It's a bit nondescript though - I cannot remember the melody or any hooks after listening to it twice in a row.
