Hello Vintage Swing & Jazz CD Collectors,
My name is Greg and I present The Phantom Dancer Radio Show every Tuesday and Sunday on 107.3 2SER-FM Sydney and 2ser.com
You'll see the weekly playlist thread for the show posted in the Radio forum - as well as the broadcast times with GMT conversion
Anyway, I've been doing The Phantom Dancer show since 1985. Won a few awards on the way, including Best Music Show in 2007
The Phantom Dancer plays swing, jazz and dance from live 1920s - 60s radio & TV
I only buy live recordings. More energy. More excitement. And historical context
And I've developed a good nose for best quality CD & mp3 releases of live vintage swing & jazz radio
Which is why I've put all the quality CDs I've found so far on Amazon into The Jazz Emporium
Here's the link: Jazz Emporium Page - http://www.gregpoppleton.com
It's a one-stop vintage Swing & Jazz CD & mp3 shop. Artists are alphabetically listed. CDs and mp3s are displayed by thumbnail links. Clicking the link takes you straight to that CD's Amazon page. There you'll find track listings, reviews and sound samples
And you'll find a range of competitive prices listed. Often you'll see new or used copies of the CD available - so you can find the price that's right for you
And prices have fallen in the last year. So now's a good time to buy
Because The Jazz Emporium is an Amazon affiliate, your shopping is safe and secure

What do I get out of it?
Well, one, it's the kind of shop I've always wanted to shop in myself. I only buy jazz broadcast CDs. Wading through thousands of CDs in jazz stores for the one-off gem is a big waste of time. Also, I don't trust home-based online stores that sell mp3 of dozens of shows on one disc. What's the quality like?
And, two, at no additional cost to you, The Phantom Dancer Radio Show gets 4% of the Amazon profit on each sale. Which means money for more live swing & jazz CDs for this long-running community radio show
And if you happen to listen to The Phantom Dancer, well, that's more swing & jazz variety for you
Visiting The Jazz Emporium only takes a few minutes of your time. And you might just find the recording you've been looking for for ages
Every so often I find and add more CDs
In fact, I've just put up all available volumes (1 to 12, vol 5 is missing) of Duke Ellington's famous 1945 'Date with the Duke' aka Treasury Show series broadcast by ABC
So here's the link: Jazz Emporium Page - http://www.gregpoppleton.com
I hope you enjoy your visit to The Jazz Emporium and find what you have long been looking for
Cheers
Greg
