I'm off for
Swing Out New Hampshire, so here is the September Guest DJ announcement a few days early:
September Thursday Guest DJ: Rob Szarka (Connecticut)
Rob Szarka from Connecticut is our September guest DJ on
Yehoodi Radio. Here’s a little about Rob:
"Rob Szarka has been inflicting music and comedy of various kinds upon an unsuspecting public since the mid-80s. He began DJing for Swing dancers in 2001, and can regularly be found DJing in Connecticut and Albany, as well as at regional events like Boston Tea Party, Beantown, SwingME, New Year's Eve Dance Extravaganza, NADC, Summer Hummer, and of course CTLX and The CT Jazz Fest. In his spare time, Rob likes to DJ at WNHU and WCNI, mix live sound, organize events, teach Lindy Hop to beginners, and fight the never-ending war against spam. In music and dancing, as in life, Rob values diversity and fun. He hopes at least one of his selections will make you giggle in a way that makes your co-workers question your sanity."
Enjoy!

October Thursday Guest DJ: Nando Velasquez (New York, New York)
Nando Velasquez from New York City is our October guest DJ on
Yehoodi Radio. Here’s a little about Nando:
"Nando Velasquez is a music lover who discovered Lindy Hop 6 years ago and started DJing 5 years ago. He's on the regular rotation of local DJs for the New York Swing Dance Society, the Yehoodi Frim Fram Jam, and the local blues house parties. Nando has also DJ'd at exchanges in Chicago, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Orlando. His typical set will usually contains tempos for everyone and a lot of fun songs. He's developed a large music collection from working in radio and TV, and is always pursuing the next new undiscovered track for dancers."
Enjoy!

when are you going to ask the former World Swing DJ Champion, Peter Loggins to be DJ of the month?

You know I love you Faulty, but could let my reign as Guest DJ last a little more than 50 minutes before you start requesting someone else?
Better yet, listen to the show and then insult me afterwards

He asks that almost every month. Don't take it personally, Mr. Sensitive.

I'm not upset, and I know his post wasn't about me. But it would be nice if I got some play before Mike starts stumping for Loggins.

You should get Peter to email Jesse or Manu, he can tell them he wants to do a show.
If they say, "hell no, we don't want a Peter Loggins show on Yehoodi", then you might have something to write about it.

Or Yehoodi could ask a reigning Lindy Hop DJ Champion.
