Tower Records has full cd clips. Some cds don't have music clips though, but it's what I've been using and it's done the job for me.

"The thing I really miss are personel and liner notes."
That's the good shit right there...I learn lots about jazz just by reading the inserts...plus I've found out about alot of new artists that I would have never have been turned onto otherwise...This and sound quality are the two biggest reasons I still buy CD's for my tunes...

Borders uses a similar system.Kyle wrote:barnes and noble in LA does that too
your cds, take them to one of many bar code readers/digital stations in the store, and scan the bar code
Borders has samples on most, if not all, of their music. Newer and/or bigger Borders, from my experience, will have bigger and more complete sampling libraries.

I just happened upon the VH1 Music Shop. It has Real Audio and/or Windows Media player clips for every track on every CD I looked for. Some new CDs seem to have some pretty decent discounts on them, too.
One thing I didn't see mentioned is www.cduniverse.com. I preview a lot of stuff on there. If they have samples of a cd it is always the whole thing, and a lot of what they have is sampled.
