songs everyday, today lyrics

#1 Post by dan » Sat Jan 15, 2011 5:53 pm

Hello,

I'm looking for songs with lyrics keywords everyday/ every day
or about today and actions. For instance "doing it all today" or "everyday I do everything" etc.. or it could be sentiments "everyday is wonderful"

if that makes any sense!

We will be better able to suggest suitable songs if you give us an idea why you are looking for such songs. Is it for a theme dance? For a choreography? For a contest?

If you already have a list, post that, too, so we don't name songs you already know of.

"Every Day"/"Every Day I Have the Blues" comes to mind immediately. My favourite is the 1959 Basie with Joe Williams singing. My second favourite is Basie with Big Joe Turner in 1972. The 1968 Basie with the Mills Brothers singing (on "Annual Report") is good, too. The Barbara Morrison version (medlied with "Alright O.K., You Win" on "Live at the 9:20 Special") has gotten a lot of play, too.

How about

I'm Just a Lucky So and So

Every Day's a Holiday

This Could Be the Start of Something Big

Walkin' Happy
Will big bands ever come back?

hi

everyday I have the blues would be good - it it weren't about havin the blues!
can't be a love song really either. (like every day I fall in love with you etc..)

it's to be played over a little film I'm working on

well I spose it could be a love song perhaps.. in theory
but saying the keyword love, or such as I found you repeatedly doesn't help -( as in everyday's a holiday)

I'm going to be picky and suggest this should have gone in the "Other Music" forum, or, more properly, on a different site all together.

The purpose of this forum is to discuss music for swing dancing, not just any music at all. If no dancing is involved, you're just asking in the wrong place.

Totally agree, and not a comment you should feel you are being picky about. Probably belongs on a forum for 'ambiguous questions about music'

Where's the 'thumbs up' emoticon...
