When I See An Elephant Fly?

#1 Post by Lars » Thu Sep 15, 2005 5:44 pm

I'm looking for "When I See an Elephant Fly". I have a couple of Disney versions that have some talking (ala Dumbo) and some lindy tempo music but the cuts are only maybe a minute and a half long and a Charlie Spivak version that is almost too "whitebread". Any other versions out there?

i didn't know that was a song title. I thought you were commenting on the thread about djing while drinking. Namely, when you know you've had too muich to drink and it's now time to start playing all fast lindy.

I see that despite your whining about personal attacks, you still feel free to make them.

I, on the other hand, have no problem with personal attacks. SwingDJs is awful dull lately.

Carry on.

If he was actually funny, I wouldn't mind it. When you're attempting to poke fun at someone, it at least has to be some what based in reality... otherwise, it just plain isn't funny.

Yes, you're right; it was completely unfounded and based entirely on fantasy. I most sincerely apologize. What was I thinking?!?!

Hi Tom,
I've got the Charlie Spivak version and I found one by Kenny Ball and His Jazzmen but the endearing charm of the old Disney version is just not there. The choral group (The Hall Johnson Choir) that did the Disney version is what really makes it for me. On another subject, when are you gonna come visit us at Hot Water some Thursday? You can guest a spot if you want to.
