I recently got the Sidney Bichet Proper box set. It's great, but it's worth mentioning it lacks "Blues my Naughty Sweetie Gives to Me" which is so popular these days.

I'm pretty sure he was a piano player... born in Benton Harbor, MI, recorded some 10 albums for Blue Note with his trio in LA, and retired to Boise, ID... with a few other things in between.
